Black Oak Lodge

Black Oak Lodge was carved out of the raw forest on a 50-acre private estate. Sitting atop an escarpment, it overlooks the pristine, environmentally protected waters of canoe lake directly across from a 100-foot cliff face. The lodge blends rustic warmth with modern design with exposed douglas fir beams, a chef's kitchen, and floor-to-ceiling windows framing the view.

Step off the private dock for a morning swim, spend the afternoon exploring by kayak, warm up in the sauna, enjoy dinner at the custom 14 person dining table, and end the day by the fire pit as the light from sunset bounces off the cliffs. Welcome home.

"This is our second time at this property. It's the perfect set up for our group of five couples as there are king-size beds in all five bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. The view is outstanding and it is very peaceful and private. Great place to spend a winter weekend! The large dining table is great! Kitchen has everything you need and it's amazing that they supply the wood for the fire! We can't wait to return again next year."

It was fully stocked and even as a group of 12 adults and 2 dogs, there was plenty of space especially in the common areas. The sauna and the private lakefront dock was incredible. "The place was perfect for our family reunion. The house is gorgeous, with lots of space for big dinners (kitchen is well stocked) and lounging inside or on the deck. The beds are super comfortable and the water is hot and plentiful. The lake and surrounding cliffs and woods were stunning — perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, etc. The location is very private and peaceful, and Michael was extremely responsive throughout our stay. We would definitely go back!"
